Two University of Montana football players have earned All-America honors from the American Football Coaches Association.

Griz linebacker Caleb McSurdy and defensive back Trumaine Johnson were named to the Football Championship Subdivision All-America team.

McSurdy is a senior from Boise, Idaho who leads the Griz with 117 tackles. He has 3.5 sacks, one interception, forced two fumbles and recovered one.

Johnson is a senior from Stockton, Calif., who is on the team for the second consecutive year. He has 44 tackles, one sack, one interception and 11 pass break-ups and a dozen pass deflections this season. He also forced a fumble.

Other Big Sky Conference athletes honored include Eastern Washington quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell and wide receiver Nicholas Edwards along with Weber  State offensive lineman J.C. Oram, Idaho State punter David Harrington and Portland State place kicker Zach Brown.
