The highway around Alberton is currently being studied in expectation for a complete asphalt overhaul. The plan is to repave both lanes of traffic before the end of the summer in 2013. Montana Department of Transportation District Administrator Ed Toavs explains.

Set to cost between $16 and $18 million dollars, the project is likely to get the nod unless a new highway bill comes into being on a federal level that would reduce funding for such projects.
