UPDATE: On June 9th, Nicholas Dolson was found not guilty of either Sexual Intercourse Without Consent or the lesser charge of Sexual Assault.

Original Story: A Butte man, Nicholas Dolson, is being held in the Missoula County Jail on $100,000 bond charged with felony sexual intercourse without consent.

According to court documents, Dolson, 26, is accused of sexual intercourse without consent after the female victim told police that an acquaintance she knew only as 'Nick', sexually assaulted her anally on June 12 at her residence in the 1400 block of West Broadway.

Chief Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jason Marks asked Judge Karen Orzech for a high bail amount, due to the serious nature of the offense, and that Dolson was suspected of other sex crimes.

"Your Honor, Mr. Dolson was arrested on a $100,000 bench warrant, and we ask in this court that bond remain in that amount," Marks began. "He confessed to victimizing multiple women in the same manner as the victim in this case. This incident occurred while he was on felony probation and we feel that he is a danger to the community. We feel there is presently not an adequate ability to supervise him to ensure the community's safety."

Dolson appeared via video from the jail wearing a special vest designed to keep him from harming himself.

Judge Orzech remanded Dolson back to the jail on $100,000 bond. His next court appearance will be October 22.
