That’s right folks, spring is here which means Easter is just around the corner. I love Easter. It is one of my favorite holidays.  I love hiding eggs and candy for my kids to find and watching them run all over the place searching for it. I love watching their eyes light up as they find their hidden treasures.

Another fun thing about Easter is the dying of the eggs. I love letting the kids be creative and having them get messy. They are always so proud of their work. My kids love cracking their creations open and eating the insides.

This recipe is very simple and could become another Easter tradition. It’s easy enough that a child almost any age could help make these. Or you can just make them yourself as another treat for your kiddos. They are brightly colored, crispy and full of sugar, everything kids love.

Colorful Crispy Easter Eggs

6 cups fruity crispy cereal

1 bag colorful mini marshmallows

1/2 stick of butter

Plastic eggs

Cooking spray

Melt butter and marshmallow in the microwave by heating 20-30 seconds at a time and then stirring. Repeat until completely melted. Add the fruity crispy cereal and stir until combined. Pack the warm crispies into both halves of lightly greased plastic eggs and then put the eggs together. Let the crispies cool inside the eggs. Now open the plastic eggs and take the crispy eggs out.
