Hundreds of faithful Democrats jammed the Missoula Holiday Inn Downtown for a rally to support the two most hotly contested national races with Senator Jon Tester and House candidate Kathleen Williams.

NBC Montana asked Tester for his reaction to President Trump’s unprecedented fourth visit to Montana to campaign for Republicans Matt Rosendale and Greg Gianforte.

“Anytime a President comes to Montana it’s a big deal,” said Tester. “I appreciate him coming here. I wish he would have taken a look at some of our needs in this state. He’s originally from New York City and Montana’s a lot different than New York City. We’ve got challenges in infrastructure, whether it’s broadband or roads and bridges. We’ve got challenges with our veterans, the facilities they have and the manpower at those facilities. Look, there’s a lot of things we could have taken a look at, but, nonetheless, if he wants to come back again, we welcome him.”

Polls just before the election show Tester with a slight lead over Rosendale, in the Senate, and Gianforte with a slight lead over Williams in the House.
