Good news at the gas pumps as prices continue to drop. The average price of gasoline across the state have fallen 5.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.25 per gallon on Sunday. Dehaan says as prices typically reach a low point during early winter, this sets up a troubling start to 2012 in terms of gasoline prices. Summer gasoline prices typically are 80 to 120 cents per gallon higher than where prices stand around Christmas.
