Two individuals were arrested in Missoula Wednesday after employees at a local shopping center noticed them trying to take food without paying. Police arrived and found there was more to the story.

"Officers were called to a local retail store in the 3500 block of Mullan Road for what was reported as two adults in custody for shoplifting," Said Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh. "The officer arrived and identified the two as 32-year old Marshal Rowe and 32-year-old Maurrita Devereaux, they then learned that the male was reported to be a suspect of a vehicle theft in Lewis and Clark County."

The suspect was linked to a reportedly stolen truck and that truck was quickly discovered.

"As they investigated further, they found the vehicle in the parking lot, and they also were able to view surveillance video showing the two arrive in the vehicle," Welsh said. "The original call was for shoplifting so they are being held for misdemeanor theft, as well as felony theft for the stolen truck."

Only Rowe is facing a felony theft charge. On top of the theft charges though, both Rowe and Devereaux received an extra charge for failing to appear in court for a past crime.
