30 year-old Carl Alvin Beebe is in the Missoula County Jail after being arrested early Tuesday morning for breaking into a home and assaulting a man and woman.

Police spokesman Travis Welsh said the call came into 9-1-1 at about 4:00 a.m.

"Officers were called to the 400 block of Kern Street for a report of a male who was trying to get into an adjoining residence," Welsh said. "When they arrived they found Mr. Beebe inside the neighbor's place after he had broken through a rear entrance. Mr Beebe was taken into custody."

"Upon further investigation, it was revealed that he had actually threatened the neighbor with a knife, and that he had previously assaulted the man's girlfriend" Welsh continued. "At this time he is being held in the Missoula County Jail. He was arrested for felony aggravated burglary, assault with a weapon, along with trespassing, criminal mischief and partner or family member assault, all misdemeanors."

Beebe was to have appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday, but was delayed until Wednesday.

He is currently in jail without bond.
