A second stabbing in Missoula has police investigating any relation between a separate attack at Missoula Fresh Market on Monday, December 21.

KGVO's Peter Christian was on the scene at the Super 8 Motel on Brooks Street.

"I'm at the Super 8 Motel on Highway 93 and it appears that Missoula has experienced two stabbings today. The first one that was reported was at the Missoula Fresh Market, which is just a block or so away from this location," Christian said. "We don't know yet if the two stabbings are related."

Christian said a coroner was on scene.

"There has been another stabbing at the Super 8 Motel," Christian said. "Unofficially, the stabbing at the motel is a fatal. Police are on the scene. They are conducting their investigation at this time."

Missoula Police Lieutenant Bob Bouchee said the victim of the stabbing was an adult female.

"A vehicle matching the description of the Reserve Street incident was located a short distance from the Brooks Street address," Bouchee said. "The vehicle was unoccupied. However, the vehicle belonging to the Brook’s Street victim is missing. It is a red 2009 Chevrolet Malibu with Montana plate 4-46117B. The occupants are considered armed and dangerous."

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Officer Caitlyn Sargent at (406) 552-6342.
