At about 3 a.m. Sunday morning, September 29, the Missoula Fire Department was called out to a blaze that started in the first level of the city parking garage.

According to Boyd Hartwig, of the Lolo National Forest, crews with two engines and two helicopter are battling new fire start about 5 miles due south of Frenchtown on private timber land in the Deep Creek area.
