First Payroll Tax Cut Committee Meeting Today
The first Payroll Tax Cut Committee meeting will be streamed live here tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24 at 12:30 p.m. MST. Many economists fear that if the payroll tax cut is allowed to expire it could cause a 1 to 2% drop in GDP. Some of the main topics on the table will be unemployment insurance, Medicare, and payroll tax relief. Montana Senator Max Baucas is the current Chair of the Senate Finance Committee and should be on hand for the meeting.
