Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Tom Gill was injured near Anaconda on Monday when a semi-truck passed by so close that it struck his drivers side door as he was opening it to issue a citation.

A semi-truck driver from California is in the Missoula County jail after being charged with three felony counts of criminal endangerment. Darrell Wayne Shepherd allegedly drove west in the eastbound lanes of I-90 on Monday evening, spilling diesel fuel and running at least three people off the road.
