Over a hundred cancer fighters and survivors will gather at the University of Montana on Saturday for Team Up Montana to celebrate victories and share the challenge of fighting against cancer.

Development Officer with the Providence Montana Health Foundation, Tara Vinson, said Saturday morning will bring a large crowd together prior to the Montana vs. Weber State football game.

"We have our Team Up Montana Providence tailgate at 11 a.m.followed by our survivor parade where we have over a hundred survivors of different forms of cancer walking in the parade," Vinson said. "The parade will start at the Prescott House at 11:30, and then at 1:50 p.m. we'll be having a pregame ceremony on the football field."

Vinson said the Team Up Montana crew hopes many cancer survivors and those still battling the disease will come to the tailgate and the parade.

"We're just encouraging anyone who has beaten this dread disease to stand up and celebrate with all the survivors and help us battle cancer," she said.

And, of course..wear the proper colors for the event.

"Wear pink of course, "she said. "Well, maybe a little maroon, but definitely pink!"
