The Montana Department of Transportation will be upgrading the horizontal curve warning signs in parts of Western Montana. The purpose of the project is to upgrade road signs to meet the current national guidelines .Missoula district pre-construction engineer Shane Stack says the project will improve the safety of the roadway for the traveling public. The following counties are involved in the upgrade: Lincoln, Sanders, Mineral,Flathead,Lake, Missoula, Ravalli, Powell and Granite. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2012, depending on completion of design and availability of funding.
