Veteran's Day was Sunday, but the federal holiday was Monday, with government offices closed throughout the U.S. At the Ravalli County Museum, the Veterans Day ceremony was conducted at 2 p.m., with the laying of wreathes at the World War I doughboy statue, an invocation and a 21-gun salute from the Marine Corps League.

After the outdoors ceremony, a presentation inside the museum on South 3rd provided details about how POWs during World War II helped with field work in the Bitterroot Valley.
