A Child was Present During a DUI Hit and Run, Missoula Woman Faces Eight Charges
Just before 10 on Friday night, there was a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of South Ave. W and 26th Avenue. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says one of the vehicles left the scene.
“A short time later, we were told that there was another caller who was following the vehicle from that location,” Welsh said. “Officers caught up to it at the 1700 block of South Reserve Street, where they identified 48-year-old Lisa Kyer as the driver. There was also a 13-year-old child in the car with her. At the end of that investigation, Kyer was placed under arrest for DUI and criminal child endangerment.”
According to Welsh, the occupants of the other vehicle complained about possible injuries and received medical attention. Kyer now faces eight separate charges that stemmed from this incident including a stop sign violation, failure to give notice of an accident by quickest means, failure to remain at an accident scene where a person was injured, and negligent vehicular assault.
