Whitefish High School Principal Kerry Drown has been pleasantly surprised by the large amount of money pouring in to build a new performing art and technology building.

"Right now, the donations are coming in at a little over one million dollars," Drown said. "It's from a small group of anonymous donors that wish to remain anonymous. That's how humble and incredible the support is in this community."

The cash flow is on top of aA $500,000 school bond.

"Our original bond had a fairly modest amount contributed to this area," Drown said. "The folks came in and said 'you know, lets amp this up and do this right.' They wanted to expand it and make it future proof."

Drown said that the money will go towards major infrastructure improvements and will allow the school to put in sound proof walls for the music rooms.
