A burglary investigation in Hamilton led police to a marijuana growing operation.Court records say police were investigating a juvenile who confessed to breaking into a house to take marijuana when they learned the house belonged to 30-year-old Sara Crystal Jacobson. Officers with a search warrant found 70 plants, three large totes of dried marijuana and paraphernalia in Jacobson's house, 14 firearms in her house and car along with $2,400 in a gun safe.

Jacobson was charged Thursday with production of drugs and possession with intent to distribute. Court records say she does not have a medical marijuana card.

An affidavit said Jacobson told police she sold marijuana, mostly to people with medical marijuana cards, to repay her student loans and care for her 4-year-old son.
