I imagine that when I die and step through the pearly gates and take my first breath that the sweet aroma of heaven will smell like a coffee house. I’m not sure if there is anything on earth (or in the sky) that smells better than fresh ground and brewed coffee.

This recipe makes making a great latte easy. It only takes a few simple ingredients and a crockpot to make a delicious latte for a room full of people. This is a great recipe for sledding parties, winter get-togethers and cold lazy weekends. The best part of this recipe could be that it will make your house smell a little bit like heaven too.

Crockpot Vanilla Latte

5 cups milk

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup strong coffee

8-10 tablespoon French vanilla syrup

Pour the strong coffee and the sugar into a small pot and heat on the stove, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves. Pour the coffee and sugar mixture into the crockpot. Add the milk and the vanilla syrup to the crockpot too. Cook on low for 4 hours, or if you’re in a hurry cook on high for 2 hours. Serve topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg.
