Fourth of July Party Favorites
If you are like pretty much everyone in America, you will be spending the fourth with family and/or friends. It’s just one of those holidays that screams backyard get-together. I myself will be enjoying a fun-filled fourth with the ones I love and am planning on bringing a couple of these delicious ideas for the party.
Red, White and Blue Strawberries – Ingredients: 1-12 oz. bag of white chocolate chips, strawberries and blue sugar or blue edible glitter. Instructions: Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave according to the package directions. Dip strawberries into the chocolate and then into blue sugar or edible glitter one at a time. Set strawberries on waxed paper to harden. http://grinandbakeit.com/all-american-chocolate-covered-strawberries
Fourth of July Fruit Basket – Just fill a basket full delicious red and blue fruit and garnish with a small American flag. http://www.punchbowl.com/p/july-4th-party-favors
Fourth of July Licorice – Grab your favorite red licorice and cut some patriotic paper into strips, wrap them around the licorice and tape paper together on the back side. http://roomtoinspire.blogspot.com/2010/07/redvines-for-all.html
Flag Day Cake – Bake your favorite cake in a large rectangular pan and frost with white frosting. Then garnish with blueberries and strawberries in a flag pattern. http://www.kateplusmy8.com/happy-fourth-of-july-2/
Red, White and Blue Drinks - Ingredients: Cranapple juice, Sobe pina colada, G2 Gatorade and ice. Instructions: Fill glass 1/3 full with cranapple juice, then fill the glass to the top with ice and slowly pour other drinks directly on top of the ice. There are two secrets to layered drinks, one is plenty of ice and the other is the sugar content. You want to layer the drinks with the highest sugar content on the bottom to the least sugar content on top. http://www.inkatrinaskitchen.com/2012/06/july-4th-layered-drinks.html
