Haunted Hayride Surrounds the Daly Mansion Fri and Sat
The Daly Mansion's annual Haunted Hayride has the theme "Ghosts Never Die" and includes ghosts, shadow people, monsters and zombies in the ride on the mansion's expansive grounds northeast of Hamilton. The admission price is again only $5 per person and it is not recommended for children, especially under the age of 7. The weather is not guaranteed this year, so dress warmly, because the line waiting for a hay wagon ride does get a little lengthy.
The rides start from the mansion's parking lot at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27. The route follows a path that includes the main roads of the mansion property and some "not so public" routes among the trees. It's rumored that the ghost of Marcus Daly might even appear this year. The final wagon heads out shortly before 10 p.m. each evening. Sponsors include Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, PayneWest Insurance and Mikesell's Fine Jewelry.
