The NCAA transfer portal opened up for Division I athletes this week, and it's already taken a toll on the Montana Grizzlies. Here are the impactful players who declared for the transfer portal.

We will update this article if any other big names enter the transfer portal.

Micah Harper (Safety)

Harper played one season at Montana after coming over from BYU. You can see his stats above. It's another loss for the Griz secondary.

[INCOMING] Shaun Boykins Jr. (All-Purpose)

All-purpose transfer, you say? That worked out pretty well last year for the Griz when they signed Michael Wortham.

[INCOMING] Tyler King (Defensive Lineman)

D-lineman Tyler King played at Central Washington last season, where he played inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Montana's season opener.

[INCOMING] Hayden Hanks (Defensive Lineman)

The Thompson Falls product is returning to Montana after a pair of seasons at Boise State, where he did not register a snap.

Jareb Ramos (Defensive Lineman)

The Centennial, Colorado native played in 33 games over the course of 4 seasons with the Montana Grizzlies. Ramos had his best season in Grizzly colors last year, playing in 15 games, recording 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.

Incoming Tight End Mariano Birdno

Marino Birdno announced on social media his commitment to Montana. Birdno played one season at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Injury shortened his season, allowing him to play in just 4 games.

Colin Amick (Offensive Lineman)

After entering his name in the transfer portal last week, former offensive lineman Colin Amick committed to Iowa State to play for former South Dakota State and Washington State head coach Jimmy Rogers.

Malae Fonoti (Running Back)

Malae Fonoti announced on Twitter that he is entering the transfer portal. Fonoti played two seasons at Montana, racking up 418 yards and 5 rushing touchdowns. The best game of his career came against Morehead State when he had 176 yards on the ground.

Terahiti Wolfe (Safety)

Terahiti Wolfe, which sounds like something David Attenborough would narrate on National Geographic, is departing Montana after two seasons with the program. He played in 11 games this season and had one postseason interception.

Kyon Loud (Cornerback)

Loud played two seasons with the Griz. His sophomore season was hampered by a shoulder injury that kept him out from the first week in October until the FCS Playoffs. He played in 20 games, racking up 6 pass breakups and 45 tackles.

Diezel Wilkinson (Cornerback)
