Montana has become a concert destination. With more venues being added and more big names coming through our state, we don't have to travel near as much as we have had to in the past. We can catch more live shows in our own backyards. Which is a fantastic thing for live music lovers. It used to be there were only three big venues for concerts in Montana. The Metra in Billings, the Adams Center in Missoula and the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman. A lot has changed since then.

Montana Concert Venues Have Increased

There has been the addition of multiple venues like the Big Sky Brewing Amphitheater in Missoula built by Big Sky Brewing. There has been the addition of the Elm in Bozeman, and the Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Bonner, Montana by Logjam Presents. All have added to the addition of bigger acts coming to Montana. As more concert tours are being announced, I always get a kick out of looking at tour dates and see Bonner, Montana listed instead of Missoula. They are technically two different towns. It made me start to think of other small towns that happen have impressive amphitheaters or concert venues and I was surprised to learn how small some of the towns are. I was also surprised that Bonner isn't the smallest town with a big amphitheater. Here is a list of some big amphitheaters in small towns.

Some of the venues are in suburbs of larger cities, but technically the towns they are in have surprisingly small populations. If you plan on partaking in the abundance of live music offerings this season in Montana, enjoy the experience and safe travels if you are hitting the road.
