Marty didn't really want to party. But he wanted to make sure we talked about a party happening at the end of the month!

It was another Take Me Home Tuesday here at the radio stations, sponsored by our awesome animal-loving friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Janet from the Humane Society of Western Montana decided on a change of pace this time. Usually she introduces us to a dog or cat waiting for adoption, but she hopped on a different bunny trail this week so we could meet Marty.

A little on the shy side in strange surroundings, Marty the rabbit is about 6-7 months old, with beautiful, lush jet-black fir, aside from some cute white marks on his toes. Marty is very sweet and litter box trained, so he keeps himself pretty clean. He's also very low-maintenance. Janet says give him a little hay and he's a pretty happy guy.

Since his brother was already adopted, Marty is the only rabbit currently at the shelter and is anxious to find his forever home.

PACK THE HOUSE BENEFIT CONCERT

Anyone who is even vaguely familiar with the western Montana music scene will likely recognize one or more of these names. And they are all going to perform to help raise needed funds for Montana pets.

Friday, January 31, the Wilma Theater is the site of "Pack the House," featuring the Rob Quist Trio, which includes his daughter Halladay, the "gut bucket blues band from Missoula" Mudslide Charley, and longtime favorites the Joan Zen Band. It promises to be a howling good time in honor of your pets and pets waiting for adoption.

Tickets are $60 each, available first-come, first-served. You can visit this page of the Humane Society of Western Montana website to order yours now!
