As we roll toward a western Montana Christmas season, lots of us have a close eye on the budget.

Wouldn't it be cool to create a traditional symbol of the holidays that you don't have to spend any money on? And doesn't it mean a little something extra when you make it yourself?

Individuals and families alike are invited to the annual wreath-making gathering this Wednesday, November 20, in the community meeting room at Garden City Funeral Home. There's no catch and no gimmick, it's just one of those many things a long-time Missoula business likes to do for people as a way to show their community support.

The wreath-making gathering runs from 5:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Just stop in anytime and they'll get you set up with all materials provided free of charge. You don't have to be a super-duper talented crafts person to put together a wreath that will look good in your home or on the front door.

If you have kids it's a great way to bond with them working on wreaths together. Snacks and refreshments will be provided as well.

You don't need to schedule a time. Just show up when it works best for you. But if you do have any questions you can give them a call at 406-543-4190.

Here's hoping a wreath making gathering adds a little extra joy to your Christmas season. Take lots of pictures to show off the fruits of your labor to friends and family.

Garden City Funeral home is located at 1705 West Broadway in Missoula.
