Sesame Street Fun at the Missoula Public Library Saturday

If a "Sunny day, sweepin' the clouds away..." sounds inviting to you, well, we can't tell you how to get, how to get to Sesame Street. But we can tell you about a FREE exciting event to be enjoyed Saturday at the library, ahead of a broadcast premier next month!

THE GREAT ELEPHANT ADVENTURE

The Missoula Public Library will be hosting a special advance screening of Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure ahead of its broadcast premiere on Montana PBS October 14. The program is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between PBS's acclaimed natural history series NATURE and Sesame Street. It follows Elmo, Abby, and Nina as they travel to a Kenyan sanctuary to meet a young elephant alongside other iconic wildlife.

As the sun rises over Kenya on a new day, and the arrival of friends from far away, all the fun unfolds at a very special place: a sanctuary that rescues orphaned elephants. And there's one particular elephant Elmo can't wait to meet.

Every encounter teaches Elmo, Abby and Nina about the natural world.

20-MINUTE REPEAT VIEWINGS DURING THE DAY

The event will take place on the second floor of the library. Starting at 11:00 am this Saturday, September 12, they'll show repeat viewings of the 20-minute episode in the Imaginarium, have animal-themed crafts in the Art Box, and conservation-themed activities with non-profit organizations from the Missoula area. Plus, there will be giveaways and prizes for anyone who watches the screening!
