Wanted Missoula Woman Caught With a Syringe Loaded With Meth
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On November 6, 2023, a caller reported his 2012 silver Chevrolet Cruze was stolen. On November 10, 2023, the caller again contacted the Missoula Police Department to state that he had found his vehicle at the Town Pump on Mullan Road. An officer responded and observed the vehicle, which was occupied by two females. The officer activated his lights, parked his patrol car in the front of the vehicle, and made contact with the driver.
The driver was later identified as 33-year-old Sabrina Ketron-Luster. When asked if the vehicle was hers, Sabrina stated it was her friend “Q’s” car. As the officer was walking Sabrina to his patrol car, he asked if she had anything that would poke or stick him, to which Sabrina replied, “There’s two dirty needles in my inside coat pocket.” The officer was also notified by dispatch that Sabrina had a no-bond felony probation warrant.
The officer conducted a search incident to arrest and did not find the needles as described by Sabrina. Sabrina then stated she must have thrown them away in the store bathroom. During the search, the officer located a glass bulbous pipe with a white residue in the stem and a black/brown residue in the bulbous end.
After placing Sabrina in the back of his patrol car, the officer returned to the vehicle where he was informed by another officer that she had observed a loaded syringe in the driver’s side storage shelf, which she observed after Sabrina had left the door open.
The officer asked Sabrina some questions regarding her drug use and she stated the needle found in the driver’s side door was the one she believed to be in her pocket. According to court documents, she further stated it contained methamphetamine.
The officer contacted the on-call Probation Officer who requested a search of Sabrina’s belongings. The officer also received consent from the vehicle owner to search the vehicle.
During the search, the officer found multiple needle caps on the passenger side of the car, a hypodermic needle in the glove box, a saline pack in the center console, a large rubber tube with burn markings, multiple needle caps in the front driver side area, a small container with wet cotton pieces, a small makeup bag with approximately 20 used hypodermic needles in the Defendant’s bag, and a digital scale with white residue.
Sabrina admitted to the officer that the scale belonged to her and stated she uses it to weigh the drugs she purchases to ensure she is not being ripped off.
Sabrina Ketron-Luster is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
