Robbery at Burger King Leaves One Man Beaten and Bloodied
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On April 28, 2026, Missoula Police Department Officers were dispatched to the report of a Robbery at a Burger King located in the 700 block of East Broadway. Officers arrived on the scene and found John Doe lying on the ground. Doe had blood on his face and pooled around his head.
Officers rolled Doe into a recovery position. While doing so, they observed a folded-up walker and a bag of blood on it. They further observed a marijuana pipe near the curbline and in proximity to Doe.
Doe stated that he knew who the suspect was, and he identified the person as “George.” The reporting officer noted that Doe was surprisingly coherent given the amount of blood on his face and in his beard. Doe spat blood as he spoke to officers. He said that he reported to the police that George had burglarized him a month earlier. Doe said that he cut George some slack, however, and didn’t follow up on it. Doe said that he had been robbed by George three times.

Today, Doe said George assaulted him because he wouldn’t give him his marijuana pipe. According to Doe, George spilled it and then punched his lights out. Doe said George punched him six times and threw him back to the ground, where he kicked him twice in the ribs and ran off. Doe hit his head on the ground when he was thrown down. Doe commented that the punches were hard. Doe stated that he had a major headache but would be “ok.” Doe said George then ran towards the library.
According to officers, Doe identified 27-year-old George Doney accurately. An officer responded to the library, where she found Doney running down a flight of stairs toward her. The officer detained him in handcuffs.
Another officer interviewed Doney at the Missoula County Detention Facility. Doney signed a Miranda waiver. He admitted to knowing Doe and said he was his friend. He denied victimizing Doe.
