The cowboy lifestyle is alive and well in Montana, and a well known independent country artist just announced the vinyl release of a couple of songs that were recorded at a small Montana recording studio in 2022.

It's no surprise that Montana is full of country music fans. There's lots of cattle, plenty of dirt roads, and a longstanding love for the ranching lifestyle. There's one country western artist that tells the story of living life on the range better than most, and that is Colter Wall. You may not hear his music on the radio, but every show that he plays is a complete sellout. If Colter Wall isn't on your radar, he should be.

Wall isn't your typical country music star. He spends most of his time working on his cattle ranch in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan, Canada. His music essentially tells the story of the life he lives. His lyrics paint a detailed picture of his rugged life on the desolate Canadian prairies.

In 2022, Wall travelled to Bozeman, Montana to record new music at Jereco Studio. While in Bozeman, he recorded two new songs that were eventually added to streaming services. Now, those recordings have been pressed on vinyl, and a limited number of copies are being released to fans.

The new 7" vinyl record from La Honda Records will feature Cypress Hills & the Big Country on side A, and Let's All Help the Cowboys (Sing the Blues) (A Cowboy Jack Clement cover) on side B.
