We had a guest lined up from Fox News Radio to talk about AI and how a LOT of people are using artificial intelligence as a replacement for therapy when it comes to their mental health needs. Some people are even talking to AI on a daily basis like it's their friend.

That just sounds crazy, even if you're crazy, if you ask me.

Our next caller in line was Tim in Savage and we got to talk about AI, and how AI is basically a replacement for Google searches. It's another search engine.

And that's what led me to this story from the lake on Sunday. We put the pontoon in the water, the motor would start but it wouldn't turn over and stay running. Great. Here we are on the beautiful Flathead Lake, and the boat won't start. It had to be something stupid, I thought- because the boat isn't that old and is regularly serviced.

So we quickly hand moved the boat to the other side of the ramp, so we could get out of the way and the other boats could get in the water. Is your gas line disconnected? That's what another boat helpfully asked.

Thankfully, I had cell service so I quickly typed up the issue on Grok, the AI platform built in Elon Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter). One of the answers? Check the lanyard for the emergency kill switch on the dashboard. Oh yeah. I looked at that, and it didn't seem disconnected but why not try? I disconnected it, re attached it, turned the key and BOOM- the motor started and we are off and running.

Tim and I joked how sometimes it could be the littlest thing that could trip you up and ruin your day. Imagine how stupid you would have felt if you had pulled the boat out and taken it to the shop, and then they told you- hey, your lanyard is disconnected. Dads, husbands...that would NEVER happen, right? Ha.
