Big News for Popular NE Montana Farm Snacks
Big news for some popular field to fork made in Montana snacks: Farver Farms' "Lentil Crunchers" are being purchased by 41 Grains out of Circle, Montana.
I was in Scobey, Montana Friday morning for a LIVE radio show and a couple of other events. Shauna Farver with Farver Farms dropped by and broke the big news with us. She said it was time to pass the business to somebody who can take it a little bit farther.
Shauna Farver: "The new purchase means that the product is going to be able to go farther, faster, better than we were able to do with it."
For those who haven't heard of 41 Grains, they have all sorts of products made from pulse crops here in Montana. They're based in Circle, Montana. A couple weeks ago when I was in Plentywood for the Farm Expo I got a whole bunch of pulse crop products and my wife actually made some 41 Grains banana bread, and the kids thought it was great. (For those of you who are gluten free- it is gluten free banana bread made from chickpeas)
Look at that lineup of products all made from pulse crops.

Shauna says she is very glad that their Lentil Crunchers product will remain an Eastern Montana product.
Shauna Farver: "We're so happy to announce that they are going to be buying the lentil cruncher business, and they will be continuing to grow lentils for it. So it's still gonna have that field to fork piece to it that we feel like is so important and makes it such a special product."
By the way, here's some photos of several 41 Grains products from the Glendive Agri Trade Expo I was at back in 2023.
