Montana Democrats and Their Food Stamp Flop
Instead of picking up the phone and calling on their fellow Democrats to end THEIR shutdown of the federal government, Montana Democrats wanted to call a special session of the state legislature to fund food stamps/SNAP. That was a flop.
And then there was the Yellowstone County Democrats. Last week, instead of calling on Senate Democrats to end THEIR shutdown of the federal government, they did some half baked PR stunt by sharing photos of their food drive. They did a food drive and only collected something like 6 bags of food? Oh brother. As I said last week on X- "Democrats shut down the government so they could give your money to illegal aliens…but hey- here’s 6 boxes of food!" Another food stamp flop by the Democrats.
Think about it, all they had to do was pick up the phone and call on their fellow Senate Democrats to end THEIR shutdown and the food stamps/SNAP would be back up and running along with the rest of the federal government. A FREE phone call to their fellow Democrats (remember when long distance calls used to cost a lot of money?). Instead, they wanted to spend hundreds of thousands of state dollars wasting time on a special session of the state legislature- all because their buddies shut down the federal government.
And now that a handful of Senate Democrats finally voted with Republicans to reopen the federal government, Democrats are TICKED that the government is opening back up.
Democrat State Senator Ellie Boldman (D-Missoula) joined a chorus of other Democrats across the nation criticizing those who voted to reopen the government. She called them "pathetic" and referred to them as "weak-ass Democrats."
So the Democrats, in their food stamp flop, shut down the government and caused all this harm. And for what? To put a giant spotlight on the fact that they wanted to give YOUR money to illegal aliens to get free health care? To put a giant spotlight on how unaffordable their so-called "Affordable Care Act" actually is?
(By the way, great chat w/ @pvtjokerus on X about that very topic on the air this AM)
