Lady Griz Baker Named Big Sky MVP!

University Of Montana Lady Griz basketball player Katie Baker has been named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Basketball Player Of The Week! Baker led Montana in wins over Northern Arizona and Weber State last week.
Baker averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds during the two contests. Her shooting average was 47.6% from the floor while hitting 15 of 17 free-throws. Baker also had five assists, two blocks and two steals.
On the season, Baker leads Montana in scoring with an average of 13.4 points per game. She also leads the Lady Griz in rebounding with 7.2 and holds the squads top shooting average at .440. Baker is tied for first in the Big Sky in blocking with 1.8 per game.
Baker is a junior forward from Coeur d’Alene Idaho. This is her first time being selected as the Big Sky MVP during her career as a Lady Griz.
