
Missing Boater’s Body Found in Placid Lake [AUDIO]
The body of a Great Falls man, DelRay Saeman, 69, was found Thursday, September 19 in Placid Lake in western Montana.
Missoula County Sheriff's Captain Brad Giffin confirmed the discovery of the man's body at about 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
"Deputies up there, in addition to a small crew of people had some equipment like a side scanner radar and they gridded out the lake again, and were able to locate and recover the man's body," Giffin said, "Mr. Saeman was found in about 30 feet of water in PLacid Lake. I know it was a great relief to the family that his body was finally found."
Saeman had been missing since August 23, when his boat was found at the dock on the lake. There had been several attempts to find his body since he went missing, with search and rescue crews from Seeley Lake, Polson and Missoula.
Placid Lake is located a few miles up Highway 83 from Seeley Lake.
