UPDATE – Missoula County Department of Corrections Inmate Fell to His Death [AUDIO]

At approximately 9:15 p.m. Monday, a Department of Corrections inmate fell from the upper tier railing of his housing unit at the Missoula County Detention Center, striking his head on the concrete floor.

Public Information Officer Paige Pavalone said he was transported to St. Patrick’s Hopsital where he was treated for severe head injury, where he later died.

His name has not yet been released.

Pavalone requested the Missoula Police Department to investigate the incident and the circumstances surrounding the fall.
