Montana is 8th Most Expensive State to Get Gas, But Prices Continue to Drop
With Thanksgiving in the books and Christmas on the way, gas prices are continuing to drop in Montana.
"The average price is about $2.28 you can expect to pay for a gallon [in Montana]. That's down almost three cents from last week," GasBuddy Analyst Will Speer said. "Compared to last year, there's still some pretty good savings out there. It's about 61 cents cheaper than last year."
Although Speer expects gas prices to continue their decline into February, Montana remains one of the priciest states to fill up.
"Montana is still one of the more expensive states right now," Speer said. "The national average is $2.03. That puts Montana as the eighth most expensive state, unfortunately."
In comparison to Montana, prices in Idaho as well as Wyoming remain at $2.14 per gallon.
