The days of wonder are happening at Freezeout Lake, between Choteau and Great Falls on Highway 89. Each year, migrating Snow Geese and Tundra Swans use the lake as a stopover on their way north. The numbers are in the hundreds of thousands and the noise can be overwhelming as they lift off.

This last weekend, photographer Mike Daniels captured some of the spectacle and shared his photos on his Facebook site and here on KLYQ's site (see photos above and below). The operative word here is "Wow!"
