Northside Shooting Sends Turner Court Man to Hospital
Missoula police received a report just before 5:00 p.m. on Friday of a shooting that had occurred inside a residence on Turner Court.
Sergeant Matt Kazinsky said officers responded to find a man in his 20’s who had sustained a gunshot wound.
“They located a 24 year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder,” said Kazinsky. “Information gathered during the initial investigation indicate that the assailant was known to the victim. The male was removed from the residence and transported to St. Patrick Hospital for treatment for wounds that do not appear to be life threatening.”
Kazinsky said the investigation continues into Saturday.
“Both the victim and witnesses are cooperating with investigators,” he said. “The immediate area was blocked off during the initial response, but we have determined there was no danger to the community or those living in the neighborhood.”
Anyone with information regarding the shooting incident is asked to contact Detective Stacey Lear or Detective Guy Baker at the Missoula Police Department at 552-6300, or Crimestoppers at 721-4444.
