One Dead after Two Vehicle Collision on Highway 93 South
A 92 year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 93 South between Missoula and Lolo that occurred just after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the 92 year-old woman was driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado pickup truck when she apparently failed to yield the right of way when making a left hand turn entering Highway 93 South from Cochise Drive and struck by a 2014 Dodge Durango, driven by a 35 year-old woman with four children in the vehicle.
MHP says the elderly woman had to be extricated from her truck and all involved were transported to St. Patrick Hospital where the unidentified 92 year-old woman was pronounced dead.
MHP says all involved were wearing seat belts, and neither speed, alcohol nor drugs were involved.
The 35 year-old woman and the children, reportedly between the ages of two and six, were treated for minor injuries.
The Montana Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash
