Just before 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning, September 24, a concerned citizen reported what appears to have been a bike-up drug dealership that was set up not far from the Bitterroot Branch trail that runs through town.

"An officer responded to a a 911 call of a suspected drug deal in progress in the 2000 block of South Avenue West," said Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh The caller described that the vehicle was tucked into a place that was kind of out of the way, not easily seen, then he saw persons approaching on bicycles, completing what he had thought were drug transactions."

Police found 51-year-old Wynn Watson in the suspicious car. It turns out Mr. Watson was on probation for drug related crimes already and the probation officer was called to the scene.

"His probation officer directed them to conduct a search of Mr. Watson and his vehicle," Welsh said. "He was in possession of drugs as well as other items of evidence that were indicative of his apparent attempt to sell the drugs: scales, baggies, Mr. Watson had a large amount of cash on him as well as the drugs, which at this point have been identified as methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana."

Watson is facing a number of felony charges now, including probation violation and drug possession with intent to distribute.
