In a speech on Thursday, Max Baucus sounded almost homesick as he spoke of the natural glories of Glacier National Park and the nearby north fork of the Flathead river.
Montana is set to receive a new 20,000 watt wind farm just outside the town of Shawmut by the end of 2012. The wind turbines are from Goldwind, a Chinese government backed windmill manufacturing firm from Urumqi, Xinjang that competes directly with General Electric. Goldwind already has 6,000 turbines running worldwide and has plans for projects in multiple U.S. States including Ohio, and Rhode Island.
