Kalispell

We caught up with Starla Hilliard-Barnes back in December. That was before the former Miss Wheelchair Montana was set to take off for Tanzania, Africa. The twice paralyzed Kalispell woman is now back after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Starla joined us on Thursday to talk about the climb.

Bottom line, Montana started a scholarship program that allowed people to keep more of their own money, which could then be used to support scholarships for kids to attend the school of their own choice. The teachers union and the left freaked out, claiming that this amounted to the government funding private and religious schools. It's an absolute absurd claim by the left that allowing people to keep more of their own money amounts to a state appropriation.

As we first told you on our Montana Talks radio show last Summer, officials at Glacier National Park were removing signs warning that the glaciers would be gone by 2020 due to climate change. Why? Well, because 2020 was quickly approaching, and unlike their climate predictors predicted...the glaciers weren't going to be gone by 2020.

Imagine being paralyzed, unable to walk- but then regaining the ability to walk, just to lose that ability all over again. Not only has Starla stayed positive through it all, she's helped so many others in the process. And now she is literally climbing to new heights.

Bo Wagner travels the country producing major rodeos and other events. Bo produced the latest NRA finals in Kalispell, as he has for several years. This year, Bo added a concert series, bringing in Nashville recording artist Glen Templeton for a live concert and after-party.

"He came from Wolf Point and started a radio empire." That's how Ray Queen described the Bee Broadcasting founder. "I call him the George Steinbrenner of radio."
