The price of lumber nosedived across the country once the pandemic officially kicked off. As Fox Business reports, lumber prices hit a low back in April of 2020, but have now rebounded by 395%. Montana actually did better than expected in 2020. Here's the numbers.

Experts from a variety of fields admit that Montana’s timber industry is in dire straits as a trade agreement with Canada fades this month and a surplus of cheap lumber causes prices to plummet.

The 2006 U.S.-Canada Softwood Lumber Agreement was extended earlier this week for another two years until October 12, 2015.
