The Missoula Osprey, headed to the Pioneer League playoffs by virtue of winning the first half of their season, have decided to cancel their fireworks show on Friday due to the wildfires in the area.
The Pioneer League Missoula Osprey start their season on the road in Helena on June 16, then inside Ogren Park at Allegiance Field in Missoula on June 19.
The Missoula Osprey are having their opening day ceremonies Thursday, June 20 at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. Osprey officials will be displaying a giant American flag during the national anthem, and need volunteers to hold the flag.

Earlier this week, the Pioneer League announced that Hector De La Cruz had been named Manager of the Year, and that Jon Griffin, Raymond Hernandez and Taylor Siemens had made the All-Star team.
The Osprey can now put another feather in their cap when it comes to Pioneer League accolades.
