Thunderstorms – Heavy Rains Headed Towards Missoula [AUDIO]
Strong weather systems from the south will bring thunderstorms with lightning, gusty winds, small hail and heavy, soaking rains. National Weather Service forecaster Corby Dickerson said the weather will be both bad news and good news.
"There will definitely be some thunderstorm activity across much of Eastern Idaho and Western Montana," Dickerson said. "So, along with the thunderstorms will come some gusty winds which will not help firefighters, obviously. However, the blessing is, that because of the depth of all this moisture that's coming up, we're standing a pretty good chance of seeing some decent rainfall, and in some cases heavy, heavy rain from these thunderstorms."
Dickerson said the main impact of the thunderstorms activity will begin Tuesday night and continue through Wednesday and Wednesday night.
