We are exactly one week away from the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. And typically a hot one. But, this summer in Montana has been different. It has been surprisingly cooler. Not that I am complaining. I know that it is only a matter of time before I find myself half-naked in front of a fan trying to cool off with a popsicle.

You may think it is time to bust out the grass skirt and coconut bra. Meanwhile, it is still snowing in parts of Montana. The cooler temperatures and precipitation are leading to snow falling in higher elevations. One of those places just so happens to be the world-famous Whitefish Mountain Resort. Video footage was captured and shared online showing a decent amount of snowfall blanketing the resort this morning (6/14).

Todd Yakoubian, who shared the video, is from Arkansas Weather Blog. People who follow him on Facebook were leaving many comments about how they are already sick of the summer heat in the deep south.

Saying things like:

That looks so inviting. I wish I was there. ♥️

Note to self...vacation in Montana next year.

Oh! To be there and not here in this humidity and heat advisory!!!!

It appears that this cool weather will be ending for us here soon, as summer may actually be showing its face this weekend. Out with the cool temperatures and in with HOT this weekend. Temperatures are looking to get up into the 90s before the official kick-off to summer.
