With less than three weeks until the annual Job Service Career Fair, western Montana employers have been lining up quickly to secure one of the few remaining spots. Wolfgang Ametsbichler said 92 employers have signed up for the event on Thursday, April 28.

"What people should definitely do is come as if it were a regular job interview," Ametsbichler said. "They need to be appropriately dressed, meaning professionally dressed depending on the position they are applying for. They should have a stack of resumes with them. They should have what we call an elevator speech; a one minute pitch about who they are and what their exceptional qualifications are."

Ametsbichler said companies aren’t just looking for people, but rather “scrambling.”

"Qualifications in all areas whether that's health care, skilled trades, or IT positions, writing positions, you name it. There's a severe shortage of people out there. It's an employee market," Ametsbichler said. "That's another reason why we have so many employers signed up already."

The fair will be at Missoula’s Hilton Garden Inn with doors opening to the public at 3 p.m.
