What do you think is the tallest peak in Montana? I found it astonishing that the top 41 peaks are all in the Beartooth Mountain Range.

The Montana State Library has a great article and chart on the peaks in Big Sky Country. The tallest peak in the state is Granite Peak at  an elevation of 12,799. According to Wiki, Granite is also the "is the tenth highest state high point in the nation".

The whole Beartooth mountains are breathtaking.

It's close to the Wyoming border and a lot of climbers are found in this area. It's very secluded and scenic which draws many every year.
