Will Hillary’s “Married White Women” Remarks Impact MT Senate Race?
Hillary Clinton was on a tear through India, and even Democrats don't seem too happy about it now. Especially after Mrs. Clinton was recorded on "India Today" blaming married, white women who voted for Trump.
It gets worse, as Fox News reports:
“We do not do well with white men and we don’t do well with married, white women,” Clinton said at a conference in Mumbai, India. “And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”
She also referred to the states that voted for Trump, like Montana and Missouri, as "backwards." This prompted the Democratic Senator from Missouri to respond, calling Hillary's remarks "fighting words."
No response has been set, yet, from Senator Jon Tester (D-MT).
“Putting aside how absurd and wrong she is, rhetoric like this is the reason Sen. [Jon] Tester (D-Mont.) was forced to release an ad today, 8 months before Election Day, attempting to highlight areas of agreement with President Trump,” the RNC spokesman said. “The Democrat brand is isolated, elitist, and as out-of-touch as it ever has been.”
“Joe Donnelly, Claire McCaskill and Jon Tester, all of these red-state Dems campaigned for Hillary and did everything they could to elect her over Trump,” said Katie Martin, a spokeswoman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. “As she continues to give these paid speeches throughout the world, I mean, the campaign ads write themselves.”
