
Wins for Lady Griz and Montana Men’s Basketball
Sophomore Torry Hill scored 18 points and handed out a career-high seven assists to lead the Montana women’s basketball team to a 79-54 victory over Sacramento State Thursday last night at Dahlberg Arena. The Lady Griz (14-10, 7-4 BSC) limited the Big Sky Conference’s top scoring team to a season-low point total on 29.7 percent shooting.
Junior guard Will Cherry scored a career-high 30 points and also had 8 steals to lead The University of Montana Grizzlies to a 75-68 victory over the host Northern Colorado Bears. The win kept the Grizzlies tied for first place with the Weber State Wildcats.
Joe Eberhard scored 23 points and shot 5 of 5 on 3-pointers in lifting Sacramento State to an 86-76 win over Montana State on Thursday night. The women’s team won at home 58-50 over Northern Colorado.
